Tuck in at TukTuk

For the second time in the last week I have been to a restaurant that I have been wanting to try for a long time. I am a huge fan of indian food and good indian food that is fast, small portions and simple is right up my street.

TukTuk in Edinburgh City Centre has a great location, fab interior, tasty food and not to mention they chose my favourite colour as theirs - Orange!!

I can never choose what to have in a restaurant but TukTuk have it sorted. They provide tapas styles indian street food. There is a chose of 25 dishes from Papri Chaat - Crunchy wheat crisps, potato, chickpeas and yogurt to Butter Chicken and Bun Kebabs.

TukTuk has created a great atmosphere within the restaurant, it has a used, modern, loft theme to it. With mix matching tables, wire lamp shades and steal plant pots for cutlery and napkins. It feels fresh and modern and with its location in such a student ready part of Edinburgh it is just right.

The prices are reasonable from £3-£5 per main dish. It allows you to choose a few for a variety of taste. Every dish is big enough to fill you up but not huge that you feel ill looking at it!

TukTuk is a bring your own bottle restaurant but not to worry there is a supermarket just around the corner not even a 2 minute walk and the staff with provide you with cooking pots filled with ice to keep it cool at your table.

TukTuk to provide soft drink and they do not just stick to coke and lemonade, the even have Thumbs Up - seen in Eat, Pray, Love and Limca - lemon flavoured drink that even states on the bottle, Contains No Fruit.

If you are around in Edinburgh as a resident, student, tourist or just passing through, TukTuk will do you well for a tasty meal that won't break the bank and let you catch up with friends or share your Edinburgh hidden treasures that you have found that day.
